The international helicopter industry exhibition China Helicopter Expo 2017 was held from September 14 to 17 in Tianjin (China). Visitors could get acquainted with the new models of civil helicopter range produced by the holding company “Russian Helicopters” and get detailed information about the proven models of Ansat, Ka-32 family, the Mi-8/17 family, and their modifications - VIP, fire-fighting, medivac, search and rescue.
This year, United Helicopters, being an authorized distributor of the manufacturer “Russian Helicopters”, initiated the holding company's meetings with representatives of government and state structures of China.
Meetings and negotiations with the leading operators and potential buyers of rotor machines from China took place during the exhibition as well. In the open dialogue of the parties, prospects of new deliveries and agreements were discussed, buyers had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the advantages of the extended warranty and extended support for operators. The feedback received contributed to a better understanding of market needs, infrastructure and financial aspects.
One of the main topics of the talks was the promotion of Mi-171 helicopters on the Chinese market. In particular, the possibility of certification of this helicopter in China with a new VK-2500-03 engine, the creation of a spare parts warehouse, as well as the organization of a Mi-171 helicopter tour with a new power plant in the highlands of China.
At the meeting with the Beijing 999 Emergency Rescue Center China, the execution of the already signed contracts for supply of two Ansat and Mi-171 with medical equipment, which is planned to be used for rescue operations in Beijing. Companies are already planning to develop further cooperation and express interest in new supplies of Russian machines.
Medical Ansat has a number of serious competitive advantages over its counterparts in its class, it has the largest cabin and the ability to quickly transform the layout of the cabin. It has powerful engines and meets many needs of public services, such as the Ministry for Emergency Situations, emergency medical services and law enforcement agencies. The Mi-171 has a long history of exploitation in China. The helicopter is used for transportation of people and their evacuation from distress zones, as well as for transportation of various goods, including medical supplies, humanitarian aid and construction materials.
United Helicopters is actively engaged in building infrastructure in the region and it's not just about repair, maintenance and quick delivery of spare parts. The past meetings with leading banking and leasing companies allowed to plan the expansion of opportunities for purchasing helicopters on leasing terms, as well as operational leasing, when the equipment is provided to the operator for a period shorter than the depreciation period on renting conditions (with or without a crew) and allows to update the fleet timely.
